Zelda:Ocarina of Time/Wii/Gamecube/Nintendo 64

The game

The game opens up on like almost all games with a cutscene about how Hyrule is in danger from Ganondorf and how Navi a fairy must find the boy without the fairy to come to him where he will save Hyrule. The boy has to get 3 spiritual stones and play the ocarina of Time at the temple of time were he turns into an adult and must find the eight sages so he can get their medallions and kill Ganondorf to get back the token to unlimited power called the Triforce at the same time he learns more and more of his past and how his future might turn out.

The good

The weapon variety is so amazing, slingshots, bows, war hammers and things like that. The storyline is great with plenty of suspense and it is almost impossible to guess what new rooms and halls and fields will hold for you to do and fight enemies that are hard but are still beatable. The puzzles in rooms are challenging and not always obvious. Because the only word you hear is "listen" there is pretty much no cussing. Most of the dialog is written at the bottom of the screen.

The bad

As you may have already assumed, the spirits and sages and Triforce do give a negative element. Along with that there is a spirit bad guy called a "Po"that is a dead person. the weapon movement is crummy as far as swinging your sword (over, left, right, over, etc.) and the controls are adequate enough.

Conclusion

The game is a constant battle between good and evil and I think that I is ok as far as you have your parent's permission. 7/10
